Practice Areas:  Mr. Wagner’s practice focuses on business reorganizations and workouts, corporate liquidations, receiverships, and foreclosures.  Mr. Wagner has represented major parties in interest, ranging from debtors and trustees to lenders and creditors’ committees, in most of the larger bankruptcy cases filed in the District of Hawaii in the last 30 years, including as lead attorney for the Chapter 7 Trustee in the liquidation of Aloha Airlines, Inc., and counsel for Debtor Azabu Buildings Co., Ltd., a Japanese corporation and the owner of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Resort & Spa, which successfully confirmed reorganization plans in parallel reorganization proceedings in the United States and Japan that resulted in a tax-driven stock sale of the reorganized debtor.

Practice Areas:  Mr. Choi’s practice focuses on representing businesses and individuals in creditor workouts, bankruptcy, and commercial disputes.  Mr. Choi has represented debtors in chapter 11, 13, and 7 cases, and successfully confirmed the debtor's plan of reorganization in In re Pomare, Ltd. (dba Hilo Hattie), and In re Azabu, Inc.  Mr. Choi served as creditor committee counsel in prominent chapter 11 reorganizations such as Liberty House, Inc., Crazy Shirts, Inc., Hawaiian Airlines, Inc. Practice Areas:  Mr. Verbrugge's practice includes business and commercial litigation, commercial foreclosure law, commerical lease disputes, and bankruptcy law.

Mr. Verbrugge's federal bankruptcy practice includes representing parties (both debtors and creditors) involved in a wide variety of bankruptcy matters including fraudulent transfer, preference, lien priority, equitable subordination, nondischargeability, claim objections/allowance, automatic stay, lease assumption and rejection, and removal-remand-transfer matters.  He has been trial attorney in numerous contested evidentiary hearings and adversary proceedings in federal bankruptcy court.  Mr. Verbrugge's federal bankruptcy practice also focuses on contested disclosure statement and plan confirmation proceedings, and other disputed matters arising during the course of a Chapter 11 reorganization case.

Mr. Verbrugge's state court practice includes commercial real estate foreclosures, receiverships, lender liability, commercial lease disputes, contract and collections matters.  He has represented large and medium sized real estate opportunity and private capital funds holding both senior and junior liens in state court commercial real estate foreclosure actions.  Mr. Verbrugge has represented parties in interest in real estate litigation, commercial lease disputes, and summary possession actions.  Mr. Verbrugge's practice includes representing parties to business disputes, including partnership disputes and accountings, disputes relating to limited liability company ownership and management, valuation of business assets, asset purchase agreements, and business torts.  Mr. Verbrugge's practice also includes construction law and trust litigation.

Practice Areas:  Ms. Ito has a broad range of experience in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and business transactions.  Among other things, Ms. Ito has represented a seller in completing a sale of commercial real property with a multi-million dollar value.  Ms. Ito's practice also focuses on real estate and business litigation, and bankruptcy and commercial litigation.  Ms. Ito has pursued preference claims in adversary proceedings on behalf of the Chapter 7 Trustee in the case of In re Aloha Airlines, Inc.  Ms. Ito also has experience in commercial real estate foreclosure, and judgment collection. 

Prior to joining WCV, Ms. Ito was a law clerk for Federal Magistrate Judge Leslie Kobayashi, and an associate at a mid-size Honolulu law firm.
